As founder and CEO, Jim sets the tone and supports the culture at Perry Contracting. He evaluates business opportunities, meets with clients to tailor construction solutions, and ensures projects align with both facility needs and budgets. With nearly five decades in construction, he guides project managers and field staff through unique challenges, sharing his deep industry expertise.
He has a cabin in Tennessee near the Smoky Mountains.
Jim enjoys playing music, attending concerts, and, most importantly, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and extended family.
Luke oversees incoming bid requests, ensuring they're assigned to the right team members for accurate quoting. He also bids and manages projects, using his experience and creativity to solve the challenges that come. With 12 years at Perry and five years of prior experience, he loves Perry's unique ability to handle multi-million-dollar projects and still deliver personal service to valued clients.
He once danced on stage with Britney Spears during her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood.
Luke enjoys staying active through exercise, marksmanship, and wrestling with his kids.
Joe estimates and manages multiple projects from procurement through closeout, ensuring each one progresses smoothly across its various phases. He tackles everything from design conflicts to job site hazards, always working to exceed expectations. With a career built from hands-on experience since age 18, Joe brings practical insight and a team-first mindset to every project.
Joe achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
Joe enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, watching Cincinnati sports teams, golfing, and sporting clays when time allows.
Terry manages all accounting and payroll processing, ensuring smooth financial operations at Perry. She prepares and submits financial reports to the owners and provides vital support to project managers and field employees. With 35 years of experience, she values the company's culture of respect and support for both employees and subcontractors.
She has a talent for discovering hidden gem eateries before they become the next big thing.
Terry enjoys floral arranging, hiking trails, and exploring state parks. She's always on the lookout for the latest restaurants and entertainment in the city.
Nate oversees the day-to-day functions of Perry's projects, handling everything from ordering materials and scheduling deliveries to issuing contracts and coordinating subcontractors. He works closely with Superintendents to ensure every project results in a quality final product. With a background in hospital, medical office, and hotel construction, he brings nearly a decade of industry experience to the team.
He has tackled some of the most challenging ski slopes in the Rockies.
Nate enjoys snow skiing, bike riding, hiking, and camping.
Jim coordinates and supervises all trades on his projects, ensuring they meet Perry's high-quality standards and stay on schedule. He maintains close communication with clients throughout the process, addressing concerns and ensuring they feel confident in the work being done. With 34 years at Perry, he also mentors younger field staff and serves as a valuable resource for both field and office personnel.
He's a world-class drummer.
Jim enjoys restoring cars and trucks with his brother and son.
Scott manages and coordinates subcontractors and service providers on complex projects, ensuring high-quality standards and schedules are met. He develops creative solutions to problems and applies his precision craftsmanship–skills honed over decades on high-end projects. With more than 20 years of industry experience, he values the strong camaraderie and mutual respect shared among the team.
The most adventurous thing Scott has done? Skydiving!
Scott enjoys gardening and spending time at his camp on the river.
Jim begins each day by confirming site safety and ensuring all subcontractors are on-site and ready to work. He handles tasks Perry self-performs like framing, drywall, and trim, and stays on top of project questions and changes as they arise. With 15 years at Perry, he values the variety of work and the supportive team environment that makes each day different and rewarding.
He once escorted Ted Nugent onto the stage at a concert.
Jim enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and tackling home projects.
Recently promoted to superintendent, Alex brings years of refined craftsmanship and hands-on experience to every job. He self-performs many carpentry tasks, coordinates subcontractors on-site, and ensures teams are set up for success each day. Alex values the guidance he receives from senior superintendents and project managers as he continues to grow in his role.
He's completed Tough Mudders.
Alex enjoys fishing and reeling in massive catches from the Ohio River. He's also into hiking and hunting.
As one of the newest superintendents at Perry, Mike brings decades of construction experience to the team. Over his 35-year career, he's completed hundreds of projects, including ground-up builds and remodels, while coordinating subcontractors and self-performing many aspects of the work.
Mike is an accomplished guitarist and hopes to form another band one day.
Mike enjoys working on his 130-year-old house, spending time with family, and golfing.
