Aglamesis Brothers chocolates and ice cream shop opened in 1913 and was last renovated in 1965. This project to completely renovate the façade presented some unique challenges. While performing an exterior facelift, Perry Contracting was tasked to keep the busy Oakley sidewalk open and safe for pedestrians while ensuring the store could remain open through all construction activities. The scope of our work included demolition of the old awnings, doors and storefront glass followed by repairs to the wood framing, the installation of new lighting, awnings, doors, storefront glass, signage and painting.
